Many young victims of human traffickers treated as criminals themselves

For someone who’s only 18, Shauna Newell is remarkably composed as she describes being kidnapped, drugged, gang-raped and savagely beaten.

It is only when she talks about seeing one of the men who sexually assaulted her — free and unafraid of being prosecuted — that she starts to break down.

“I went out to the beach a few weeks ago and I saw the dude who raped me, and he just looked at me,” Newell told NBC News, her voice choking. “Like, hey … you ruined my whole life. You have scarred me for the rest of my life and you're just sitting there going on with your life like nothing is wrong.”

As shocking as Newell’s story is, it is not unique, TODAY’s Natalie Morales said Thursday in a special report entitled “Sex Slaves in the Suburbs.” Advocates for girls and young women who are forced into prostitution by people who approach them in various ways, including on the Internet, claim that thousands of American youths are victims of human traffickers.

Like Newell, many are treated by law enforcement authorities as runaways, said Marc Klaas, who founded the advocacy group KlaasKids after his own 12-year-old daughter was abducted, raped and killed. When they are forced into prostitution, the young people are the ones who are prosecuted, Klaas told TODAY’s Meredith Vieira Thursday in New York.

“It turns upside down,” Klaas explained. “First of all, many of these kids are missing children. But what happens is when they’re trafficked, they’re turned into hookers; they’re turned into prostitutes. So we find this situation where we find these young victims, these young girls that all of a sudden are being treated and looked upon as criminals.”

At least in that regard, Newell was fortunate when she was abducted two years ago. Thanks to her mother and Klaas’ organization, which organized a search for her, she was rescued after three days. She’s gone public to warn other girls about how easy it is to be kidnapped and trafficked.

Sinister sleepover 

A typical 16-year-old in a middle-class home in suburban Pensacola, Fla., Newell’s nightmare began innocently enough: A new friend she had met in high school asked her to come to her home for a sleepover.

Newell’s mother, Lisa Brant, didn’t like the idea, but after weeks of lobbying by her daughter, Brant met with the girl and the man she said was her father to make sure her daughter would be safe.

But the girl’s “father” was really a convicted felon, and the girl, who had a record of prostitution in Texas, was an accomplice in the abduction. “Her dad took us to this house and said he'd be right back and he left us there,” Newell recounted in a taped interview. “And I asked for some water because I was thirsty. And I drank the water and I blacked out.”

The water had been laced with a drug. When she woke up, Newell was groggy and couldn’t move.

“My legs were being held down, and the guy that was raping me was holding my hands back,” she said in a quiet voice. “I kept screaming, ‘Stop, please don't do this. Leave me alone.’  But I was so weak, I couldn't fight them off. Like I was, I was so really out of it.  And I blacked out a few times and I kept coming back to. And I was still being raped every time I woke up.” 

Left alone for a moment, Newell managed to call her mother.

“My cell phone rang. And all I heard was, ‘Mommy, help me,’ ” Brant said. “And the phone went dead. And I freaked!”

She called police, but they told her that Newell had probably run away from home, and they wouldn’t be able to treat it as a missing-person case until 72 hours had elapsed.

“He was like, 'Oh, well, you know, there's nothing I can do. You know teenagers,’ ” Brant said.

A stroke of luck

With law enforcement unwilling to act, Brant and Newell’s siblings started their own search. They were fortunate in that Brad Dennis, an investigator for KlaasKids, was based in the area because the Florida Panhandle is an epicenter of human trafficking.

By sheer luck, one search party stopped at a convenience store for something to drink, and Newell’s 14-year-old brother spotted his sister in the back seat of another car that had stopped at the same store. She was rescued, but her abductors managed to flee.

After three days of being raped and beaten and drugged, Newell was dirty, bloody, bruised and barely alive. She was airlifted to a hospital and had to be resuscitated twice. In addition to her serious injuries, she had been infected with an STD.

Newell said that her captor told her she had been sold on the Internet for $300,000 to a man in Texas. Fortunately, she was rescued before delivery could be made. During Newell’s ordeal in Florida, her captor took money from a number of men who raped her. When she screamed, he held a gun to her head and threatened to blow her brains out.

Lisa Brant, whose daughter, Shauna Newell, was abducted and gang-raped. Afraid for her life, Newell later moved in with her boyfriend and now has a child of her own. Her family continues to lobby for national legislation that will provide aid for Americans forced into the sex trade similar to aid that is provided for girls and boys who are brought into the country and forced into prostitution.

  

Vieira asked Lisa Brant what advice she has for other girls.

“Listen to your parents. Just don’t stop believing. Be strong,” she said. “Follow what your parents say fully, fully. There are people out there who will help you. Speak up. Everybody needs to speak up. Girls that have gone through this, they’re scared.”

Who Are the Children Trafficked For Sex Slavery?

As the sun sets across the United States tonight, thousands of children are rising to meet the night. They should be in safe homes, in warm beds, being tucked beneath blankets and told bedtime stories. Instead they slip into the nocturnal world, dressed for the work of the “track”.

All over the United States, these children are being exploited. In Atlanta, Detroit, New York, Kansas City, New Orleans, Seattle, Anchorage, San Francisco, Fort Lauderdale, Denver — in every major city, in the small towns, at truck stops in every State of the Union, they’re being put to “work.”

People say it’s their fault, but I don’t think so anymore. People call them “bad kids,” but I don’t think so anymore. People say they like it, some say they deserve it. I don’t think so.

The Center for Missing and Exploited Children estimates that each year at least 300,000 children are the human products meeting the demand of the sex trafficking industry in the U.S. alone. Around the world, more than one million children are subjected to human trafficking for sex or porn. The industry is estimated to bring in $9.5 billion annually.

The statistics are staggering, but it’s the individual stories that are heartbreaking. These are girls as young as 11. Girls who haven’t reached puberty. Children who should be in fifth grade. Many have never attended a school dance. Never learned how to use a locker. Never pondered a class schedule.

 

Some come from “good homes” and have families

Some come from “good homes” and have families searching desperately for them. Others are runaways, or children in foster care, who have already been victimized and traumatized within the walls of their homes — and have no one searching for them.

These children had dreams. Some could sing, others danced and put on plays. Some were great at sports or loved to draw and paint. Some girls were shy, in advanced classes, and liked to read at night.

A common misbelief about sex trafficking is that the United States

A common misbelief about sex trafficking is that the United States is only a destination country, that all of the victims of sex slavery within the U.S. have been carried across international borders. The truth is that literally untold numbers of U.S. citizens are trafficked within our own borders and in our neighborhoods every year.

“Trafficking” can be a misleading term. Under U.S. and international law, a person doesn’t have to be carried across a border against their will for them to be legally trafficked. Coercion into commercial sexual exploitation is enough. It is far too difficult in this country to physically kidnap, chain, and force someone to have sex with strangers (difficult but not impossible); so, sex trafficking within our borders looks different than it does internationally. Because the demand for commercial sex within the U.S. continues to exceed the willing supply, pimps and traffickers have to be more creative and audacious in how they cultivate their supply to meet this demand, however unwilling the “resources” may be. To be as efficient as possible, traffickers prey on the vulnerable in our society; usually, poor women of color.

 

The typical domestic trafficking narrative happens like this:

A young woman grows up amid varying levels of sexual, emotional, and physical abuse from family members, foster parents, or others. She begins to look around for love, comfort, affirmation, and attention. Sometimes she runs away in pursuit of a better life and a place of belonging. Often, this is when a pimp enters her story and begins to woo her with doting attention, promises of love, extravagant and sentimental gifts—all actions that promise her happiness, meaning, and belonging for what is often the first time in her life. After the pimp sleeps with this young girl, he usually introduces her to commercial sex slowly by saying things like: “We need the money, please just do it this once!” or “I love you. Show me you love me, too!” or even, angrily, “After all I’ve given you, you at least owe me this!” When he approaches her about having sex with some of his “friends” for “a little cash,” she feels indebted to him and may think that he is the best she is going to get. “At least he says he loves me.” If she refuses, he becomes insistent and may get violent, intimidating or physically forcing her into it. Her mindset is very similar to that of a person experiencing domestic abuse. Asking, “Why didn’t she fight back or just leave?” ignores her emotional complexity, initial vulnerability, and the manipulative nature of a pimp.

 

Sex Slave Pimps use Torture to Force the Girls into Sex Slavery and Prostitution

“There are basically two business models: manipulating girls through violence—that’s called ‘gorilla’ pimping—and controlling them with drugs,” says Patel, who prosecuted the case of New York–based trafficker Corey Davis, a.k.a. “Magnificent.” A high-living, highly educated pimp who kept the slave master’s manifesto The Willie Lynch Letter and the Making of a Slave in his Mercedes, Davis, Patel says, made sex slaves out of, among others, a 12-year-old runaway and a university coed on a track scholarship. To force them to do his bidding, Davis allegedly sliced a girl in his “stable” with a box cutter and stomped others into submission with a special pair of Timberland boots—a technique known as “Timming.” Another female, a 15-year-old patient of Dr. Sharon Cooper’s, was zipped into a duffel bag and deposited by her pimp on a six-lane highway. The pimp of Caroline (a former Connecticut 4-H Club member) plucked out her fingernails one by one until she passed out from the pain. Natalie, an ex–Catholic schoolgirl rescued by gems, was from the age of 13 tortured or beaten with water, belts, chains, even a bag of frozen oranges. “Pimping,” Natalie says, “is not cool. A pimp is a wife beater, rapist, murderer, child-molester, drug dealer, and slave driver rolled into one.”

Debbie's story is particularly chilling. One evening Debbie said she got a call from a casual friend, Bianca, who asked to stop by Debbie's house. Wearing a pair of Sponge Bob pajamas, Debbie went outside to meet Bianca, who drove up in a Cadillac with two older men, Mark and Matthew. After a few minutes of visiting, Bianca said they were going to leave.

"So I went and I started to go give her a hug," Debbie told "Primetime." "And that's when she pushed me in the car."

As they sped away from her house, Debbie said that one of the men told Bianca to tie her up and said he threatened to shoot Bianca if she didn't comply.

"She tied up my hands first, and then she put the tape over my mouth. And she put tape over my eyes," Debbie said. "While she was putting tape on me, Matthew told me if I screamed or acted stupid, he'd shoot me. So I just stayed quiet."

Unbelievably, police say Debbie was kidnapped from her own driveway with her mother, Kersti, right inside. Back home with her other kids, Kersti had no idea Debbie wasn't there.

"I was in the house. I mean, it was a confusing night. I had all the kids coming in and out. The last I knew she had come back in," Kersti said. "It was just so weird that night. I mean, I normally check on all my kids, and that night I didn't. I should have."

Debbie said her captors drove her around the streets of Phoenix for hours. Exhausted and confused, she was finally taken to an apartment 25 miles from her home. She said one of her captors put a gun to her head.

"He goes, 'If I was to shoot you right now, where would you want to be shot -- in your head, in your back or in your chest?'" Debbie said. "And then I hear him start messing with his gun. And he counted to three and then he pulled the trigger. And then I was still alive. I opened my eyes, and I just saw him laughing."

Debbie said she was then drugged by her captors and other men were brought into the room, where she was gang raped.

"And then that's when I heard them say there was a middle-aged guy in the living room that wanted to take advantage of a 15-year-old girl," she said. "And then he goes, 'Bend her over. I want to see what I'm working with.' And that's when he started to rape me. And I see more guys; four other guys had come into the room. And they all had a turn. It was really scary."

Debbie's indoctrination into the world of sex exploitation was particularly brutal. More often, young girls are unwittingly lured in to unwilling prostitution with promises of jobs, money, clothing and modeling.

 

US Secret Service Agents involved in prostitution possibly involving sex slave abuse is no aberration.

Men working abroad on behalf of our government engage in this kind of behavior so frequently that the Pentagon was forced in 2004 to draft an anti-prostitution rule aimed at preventing the U.S. military from being complicit in fueling sex trafficking.

So far, 11 Secret Service personnel — including agents and uniformed officers — have been recalled from Colombia, put on administrative leave and had their security clearances revoked. Rep. Darrell Issa, who chairs one of the House investigative panels, has said that he wasn't certain whether Congress would hold hearings into the scandal.

Pending completion of an investigation, we do not know about the backgrounds of these women.  But there is clear evidence that men who cavort with prostitutes are often guilty of participating in sex trafficking, a grave human rights offense that our society continues to treat as nothing more than "boys being boys."

Yes, the fact that the agents put the president at risk is enormously important. But where is the outrage about how these men treated human beings like property to be bought and sold?

 

Sex exploitation not a new problem

In 2004, at a Capitol Hill forum, Rep. Christopher Smith, R-N.J., noted that "women and girls are being forced into prostitution for a clientele consisting largely of military services members, government contractors and international peacekeepers."

In Canadian journalist Victor Malarek's 2003 book, The Natashas: Inside the New Global Sex Trade, he writes extensively about U.S. contractors for DynCorp in Bosnia openly buying what they call "prostitutes," who were, in fact, sex slaves. He writes of one man who "had this (15-year old) girl who was just a child. … You could see in her face — she was dying."

Girls were kidnapped from Eastern Europe by the Bosnian mafia, according to Malarek, specifically to be sold to the American contractors to use for sex. The author writes how one American bragged that his girl wasn't a day over 12. Trafficking would not work without the "johns" paying up to use some kidnapped and abused girl or woman for a few hours of pleasure.

 

The child protective services foster care system and sexual exploitation and trafficking.

There is a huge correlation between girls who have been in the foster care system and sexual exploitation and trafficking. With the wisdom of all of your experience, do you see some kind of alternative to or possibility for redemption of the foster care system? Why is it so hazardous for girls? UN Condones DynCorp Sex Crimes and Sex Slavery

A senior United Nations official is demanding that her colleagues involved in the sex trade in Bosnia should be stripped of their immunity and prosecuted. 

Madeleine Rees, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Bosnia, has broken ranks to demand that UN officials, international peacekeepers and police who are involved in sex crimes be brought to justice in their home countries. 

Speaking exclusively to Scotland on Sunday, the British lawyer has also launched an outspoken attack on her former boss. She accuses Jacques Paul Klein, the former head of the UN Mission in Bosnia, of not taking UN complicity in the country’s burgeoning sex trade seriously enough. 

In recent years there has been a massive increase in the trafficking of women in Bosnia, including girls as young as 12. The women are taken from their homes in eastern Europe by organised criminal gangs and brought to Bosnia, where they are forced into prostitution. 

The trade in these so-called ‘sex slaves’ hardly existed until the mid-1990s.

It was fuelled by the arrival of tens of thousands of predominantly male UN personnel in the wake of the signing of the Dayton Peace Accord by Bosnia, Croatia and Yugoslavia in 1995. 

Rees said: "Visiting brothels where women have been gang-raped into submission, into slavery, is not part of the UN’s mandate. 

"Without an enforceable code of conduct, immunity often means impunity. We should look at ways of waiving that immunity. 

"I would be very happy to see the possibility of prosecutions for rape or assault in the UK. There is no question this should happen." 

Rees, who has served in Bosnia since 1998, said she had encountered stiff opposition from western officials in her attempts to tackle the trafficking of women. 

" They don’t want to know about it," she said. 

"There is this whole ‘boys will be boys’ attitude about men visiting brothels. There’s a culture inside the UN where you can’t criticise it. That goes all the way to the top." 

Referring to Klein, she added: "He doesn’t take this issue at all seriously." 

Last year, Rees testified in support of Kathryn Bolkovac, a UN police officer who was sacked for exposing the sexual abuse of women and children in Bosnia by her colleagues. 

Bolkovac’s former employer DynCorp, an American security firm which supplied staff to the UN, was forced to pay £110,000 in compensation. 

The chairman of the British employment tribunal which heard the case described DynCorp as "callous, spiteful and vindictive".

Bolkovac had revealed UN peacekeepers went to nightclubs where young girls were forced to dance naked and have sex with customers, and that UN personnel and international aid workers were linked to prostitution rings in the Balkans. At the time, Rees described it as "the biggest cover-up I have ever seen", adding that she believed 30% of those visiting Bosnia’s brothels were UN personnel, peacekeepers or aid workers. 

DynCorp insists it has the highest ethical standards of business "and encourages employees to speak openly". 

However, Rees said the private defence contractors, whose British office is based in Salisbury, should be banned from the country. 

"DynCorp... should not be allowed anywhere near Bosnia," she said.

In January, a 500 strong European Union police force replaced the UN’s 1,800 member multinational International Police Task Force (IPTF). 

Dedicated anti-trafficking teams were formed and assigned to raid nightclubs across Bosnia suspected of operating forced prostitution rackets. 

Rees said the counter-trafficking efforts had mostly been a failure. "They were basically for show and completely amateurish," she said. 

Referring to the EU police force, Rees added: "They are still very much on probation. These men must understand that going into brothels is illegal in Bosnia. The sex is not consensual if the woman is a 13-year-old girl trafficked from Moldova." 

Although there have been many cases of police officers being sent home in disgrace for their involvement in the sex trade, the UN can only remove them from service and is powerless to prosecute them. It is up to member countries to take any further action. 

Rees said: "People will say the UN is not practising what it preaches. It is double standards, and it looks like western imperialism. Brothel raids find UN police inside, and then no one is prosecuted. The UK is prosecuting no one. 

"If you send people home, countries get wild. But if you don’t enforce the rules, you can’t serve in the United Nations." 

Human Rights Watch is equally downbeat in its assessment. 

A spokesman for the organisation said: "Foreign nationals serving in Bosnia enjoy almost complete immunity. It was assumed countries would prosecute and discipline their citizens upon their return home from for crimes committed in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This has rarely happened in practice." 

Soldiers from S-FOR, or Stabilisation Force, Bosnia’s 18,000 strong Nato-led peacekeeping force, were granted "immunity from personal arrest or detention" by the November 1995 Dayton Treaty which authorised their deployment. 

S-FOR troops are banned from attending brothels but Rees said the marketing strategy of suspected new brothels opening near S-FOR bases makes it clear who they are catering for. 

"Outside the Russians’ base, there is a brothel called Odessa," she explained. By the Americans’, its Texas or Philadelphia. There’s even an El Cid near the Spanish base. While there are foreign troops in Bosnia, there will be always demand for trafficked women." 

Last night, Jan Oskar Solnes, spokesman for the European Union Police Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, said: "Its correct we have diplomatic immunity, but I imagine any incident [of sexual misconduct] would be a personal rather than professional matter. 

"We have a zero tolerance approach to this issue and anyone involved will be removed from the mission." 

Kirsten Haupt, spokeswoman for the United Nations Liaison Office (UNLO) in Bosnia, dismissed Rees’s claim that Jacques Paul Klein had not taken the illegal sex trade seriously. 

She said: " All cases have been thoroughly investigated. We have sent a number of officers home. There is absolutely no toleration of a ‘boys will be boys’ attitude here." 

Klein left Bosnia on February 1 and is no longer working for the UN. He is understood to be on holiday in the United States, and could not be contacted by Scotland on Sunday. 

Yesterday, a spokesman for DynCorp said: "We do not make it a practice to comment on opinions. 

"However, we are familiar with previous public statements Ms Rees has made about involuntary servitude and DynCorp continues to share her concerns for women held against their will in Bosnia, just as we condemn all human rights abuses anywhere in the world."

The Chicken Lesson: Teaches a New Aspect of Pet Responsibility with Respect for an “Animal’s Welfare.”

 

I would like to share with you a 'true story' of one of the 'lessons' of life I learned, while growing up helping out doing chores in the neighbor's barn, when I grew up. I call it ‘the chicken lesson’.

The chicken lesson: 

I remember I had suffered through a terrible day and I was mad at the whole world.

 

I hated everyone that day. I wanted everyone in the world to just leave me alone and go away. It was a bad day for me, needless to say. I was exhausted and I just wanted to sleep and forget about everything for a while but I still had several hours of chores, helping out the neighbor, to do before I could rest.

 

The wind was blowing hard and it was raining sideways. It was so cold the rain was freezing on what ever it hit. Before I got to the first barn I was soaked to the skin and cold. My hair was a wet and hanging in frozen strand that clinked like wind chimes when I moved. My canvas tennis shoes were soaked and my toes hurt. My mood got worse with every painful step I took.

 

I went to the small barn first to feed the horses that lived in the attached field. That was also where the 'reject' chickens lived. The chickens that for one reason or another couldn't compete with the main flock that stayed around the neighbor's house and at his big barn.

 

They survived by picking up the grain that dribbled from the horse’s mouths as they ate. At that time a hen had made a nest in the corner and had hatched some chicks a couple days before. The barn consisted of an enclosed feed storage area and a covered 3 sided area that the animals could use as they wished. This open area was clearly visible from the house and other barn. I fed the horses under the shed and noticed the chicks bumbling around under the horse’s hooves for food.

 

The hen was leading them into danger in her rush to get something to eat. She was big enough and smart enough to move but the chicks weren't. I decided to toss them an extra handful of grain off to the side. I tried to drop it when the hen was looking but she didn't see me and she kept going to the horses.

 

I decided to try to herd her to the grain but she thought I was going to hurt her babies and went into panic mode. She called them and started taking them out side into that freezing rain and around the corner. I tossed another handful of grain down but she still didn't see.

 

I tried to run her back but she just went all the faster and took the chicks out clear around the corner and to the other side of the barn.

 

I was still mad: 

I was still mad, tired, wet and cold, and I thought, "fine you stupid chicken" - go with out food! Let your chicks get all wet and freeze to death. At that moment, I was in so much distress, from being exhausted and having a bad day, and being mad, that I thought to myself, I don't care!

 

One of the permanent rejects at the small barn was one big and very old red rooster and I consoled myself with the thought that he had at least seen the grain I had thrown down and was enjoying it even if the hen was too stupid to know who her friends were.

 

It was at about this time that the rooster started making a bunch of noise and hopping up and down flapping his wings like chickens do when they are excited because they found something good to eat. I couldn't believe it! I thought what a stupid idiot he was.

 

He was wet and cold and hungry and he had food but he was squawking and telling the whole world about it. If he didn't shut up the other chickens would see and come and chase him from the grain pile and he would get nothing.

 

I was watching that chicken in disgust: 

I was watching him in disgust when I noticed he was doing something even stupider, or so I thought. He was picking the grain up but then he would drop it back into the pile. And all the while he is making noise and jumping up and down. I knew that old rooster was hungry so why wasn't he eating I wondered? This was very strange to me, as I had never seen a chicken play with its food before.

 

At that moment: 

At that moment, I forgot about being mad at the misery in my own life, and watched to see what that crazy bird would do next. He kept picking up the grain and dropping it as I watched. It seemed he never actually swallowed any. I was waiting for the other chickens to see and come running but before they did, here came the hen cautiously leading her chicks around the corner of the barn. The poor little chicks were all wet and miserable so I didn't move because I didn't want to spook them back out into the rain.

 

As I watched I slowly realized what the rooster was doing. The rooster kept picking up the grain and dropping it and calling. Finally the nervous hen noticed him and saw the grain. She rushed over with her chicks to the feed and when she did the old rooster, who had never swallowed a bite, moved back out of the way to let them eat. He stood there with his wet frozen feathers dropping from the rain and ice and watched over them as they ate.

 

I stood in awe of that chicken: 

Suddenly I didn't feel cold and mad at life, anymore, but I felt a warm feeling instead, just knowing, in my soul, that if God could make a chicken with that much love and compassion for others that he must have also placed some loving kind humans into the world also. That was the last time that I ever got mad at the misery in my life, feeling sorry for myself. Now when I get to think the world is a terrible place I just remember that old red rooster and I stand corrected. Since I have long ago, now grown to adult hood, I have never forgotten about my youth’s ‘chicken lesson.’ Only now I use my passion and skills to protect the freedom and pet property rights of all the animals and pet owners, with major emphasis on ‘Dogs’ and their beloved dog owners rights and freedoms.

 

This childhood chicken lesson teaches a new style of pet ownership responsibility with respect for an “Animal’s Welfare.” My ‘chicken lesson’ was just one of the many lessons I learned from the pets and animals I came into contact with in my childhood, and one of the many reasons I think it is very important for people, especially children, to be with pets and animals.

So let me thank you and thank the people, who support our Animals C.L.U.B.- Freedom National Organization Incorporated (Nonprofit) again for all the ‘flapping and calling’ you all do in Canada and the USA, to protect dogs, cats, and other animals, which all have an “intrinsic value” on their private property as owners and all the pets and animals they may also own and cherish that are much more than just “chattel.”

 

It really does mean a lot to me and to the pets and animals we so lovingly own and care for, as extended family members of the human(e) family, whom some Animal Rights "perverted" people refer to as a mere worthless mixed pet or stupid ole dog, cat, pet or even a chicken. Life in properly and lovingly owning a dog, or any other pet should not involve intrusive ‘Animal Rights’ agenda legislations that only lead to the ‘extinction’ of all our liberty to possess responsible common sense ‘pet ownership’ INTRINSIC VALUE in your pet property rights. ‘Animal Rights’ is not that at all, or right.

 

I have learned from my pets and animals, just what their definition of an animal’s “intrinsic value” really is. The erosion of our freedom to own our dogs, cats, pets and animals, rings true of the current political climate in the USA and Canada. We the People who ‘truly’ own our pets and animals are especially struck by the public’s comments and statements concerning their “Animal Rights” agenda agreement or apathy towards all the various government’s animal laws and legislation that ‘deprive’ every owner freedom to simply own our pets and animals without ‘government intrusion or violation of our pets and animal’s “intrinsic value” in ownership.

 

I Say: "Be there, for every animal owner and defending your pet and animal’s welfare.”
